Police investigate shooting in West Anchorage

Anchorage police report they are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning in West Anchorage and left one man seriously injured, according to a police dispatch.

At 5:03 a.m. Sunday, Anchorage police officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on the 8900-block of Woodstock Circle, near West 88th Avenue.

According to the dispatch, it initially appeared shots had been fired both inside and outside the residence. At least two men were inside the home; one was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other was unharmed.

According to witnesses, the suspect or suspects left in an sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
