Police: Masked men broke into Spenard trailer, shot occupant in chest in ‘targeted’ attack

Anchorage Police say three masked men broke into a Spenard trailer early Saturday, shot a person inside in the chest and fled in what police describe as a "drug related and targeted" attack.

No arrests have been made.

Police were called to a mobile home on the 900 block of Chugach Way, which runs between Spenard Road and Arctic Boulevard, at 12:28 a.m. on Saturday, according to a statement from the Anchorage Police Department.

Two people had been sleeping inside the trailer when three "masked adult males" came in and a fight ensued.

One of the suspects "shot one of the occupants in the chest" before the three fled.
Police don't know if they were on foot or in a vehicle.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with a wound that is not life-threatening, according to police.
